Diane Bean Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 4, 2026.
It's with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Diane N. Bean, 78, of North Concord, VT who passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 3rd, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Diane was born on December 30,1947 in Bangor Maine to Carroll Nadeau and June Boyd Nadeau. Diane graduated from Bangor Highschool in 1965 and went on to work successfully as a bookkeeper for several companies, which is where she met the love of her life Steven. They have been together 42 years, married the last 18. She was known for her patience, kindness, dedication, compassion and great sense of humor (which remained with her to her last days). She was a person who truly saw those around her.

As a child Diane studied dance at Polly Thomas School of Dance and was a member of Thomasettes. She enjoyed performing at many events in the Bangor area and even traveled to New York Radio City Hall to watch her friends perform with Radio City Rockets.

Diane enjoyed traveling through Europe, which included stops in Scotland, England and Paris. Diane retired in 2013 and moved to Miles Pond, in North Concord, Vermont in 2015, and spent her golden years enjoying boating trips, being on the water and relaxing. Diane also loved enjoying her coffee, having drinks with friends and watching her favorite football team, the Patriots! She loved spending time with her family, being a bonus mom, bonus grandmother (Mimi) and being an adoring dog Mom to Lady, Natasha and Alexis.

Diane is survived by her husband Steven Bean, her children Stephanie Sterling and Kathryn L. Schneider and husband Travis Schneider, her 6 grandchildren Christopher Bohan, Elisabeth Bohan, Kathryn Taylor, Maddison Williams, Kolten Schneider & Sloane Schneider and her 4 great grandchildren Brendan, Kaylin, Abigail & Alyvia with a 5th due this summer. Diane was preceded in death by Carroll Nadeau (Father), June Boyd Nadeau (Mother) and David Nadeau (Brother).

A Celebration of Life will be held in late Spring or early Summer.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
