Mrs. Helen Turcott

A resident of Fairfax Virginia for over 40 years, died peacefully on Monday, August 16. Helen was born in Gardnerville, Nevada on March 29, 1924. She was the youngest child in a family of seven; her mother and father were immigrants from the Basque Country in France. In 1945 she married George Turcott, upon his return from the war. They had three children, Gary Turcott (Donna), Denise Donnelly (Bill), and Jerry Turcott (Judy). Turc and Helen were married for 53 years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998. Helen was devoted to her family, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, aunt and sister. She was an athlete her whole life but she especially loved to golf. Some claimed she had the best swing on the course. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her strength and especially her beauty. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday, August 19 at the Everly Funeral Home, 10565 Main Street, Fairfax, VA. Funeral Services will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 3704 Old Lee Highway, Fairfax, VA at 11am on Friday August 20. Internment immediately following ceremony at Fairfax Memorial Park.
