Diane Chase Harrison

Bertha Diane Chase Harrison, 77, of Snow Hill, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026. She was born on January 29, 1948, in Wayne County, to the late Bertha Mae and Floyd Chase.
At the young age of 16, Diane married the love of her life, Kenneth Ray Harrison, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned 60 years. She dedicated her life to her family as a loving wife, homemaker, and mother. In her later years, when she became homebound, Diane found comfort and joy in reading her Bible, watching old movies and spending time with her beloved dogs. Her most recent companion, Penny, rarely left her side and was always patiently waiting for a small nibble of table scraps.
Diane is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Shelton, Robin Tyson, and Dana Harrison; her son, Michael Harrison; her grandchildren, Ashby Vandiford, Phillip Shelton, Cameron Shelton, Ken Harrison, Michael Harrison, Alex Tyson, and Angelina Harrison; her great-grandchildren, Gracie, Samuel, Levi, Isaac, Madeline, Lucas and Carson; her brother, Bronnie Chase; and special family friends, Denise Memmelaar and Susan Parker.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Harrison; her brother, Rudy Chase; and her sisters, Evelyn Taylor and Elva Phillips.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the Snow Hill Cemetery.
