Diane Ingleby Holbrook, age 83, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, in Bountiful, Utah. She was born on June 5, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to James and Elizabeth Ingleby.
On September 6, 1963, Diane married the love of her life, Larry Parkin Holbrook. Together they built a beautiful life filled with faith, family, and service. Their marriage of over six decades was a testament to devotion and partnership.
Diane’s life was one of creativity, compassion, and tireless service. She was a master seamstress and an accomplished gardener whose love for beauty filled both her home and her community. A gifted genealogist, scrapbooker, and crafter, Diane poured her heart into everything she touched—whether it was a hand-sewn quilt, a lovingly tended rose garden, or a carefully preserved family history. Her home was always a reflection of her warmth, creativity, and care, earning her the Salt Lake Tribune Civic Beautification Award five years in a row.
Service was at the core of who Diane was. She faithfully served in many church callings throughout her life, including Relief Society President, Young Women’s President, Primary President, and Girls Camp and Youth Conference Director. She also devoted countless hours as PTA President and Vice President, Road Show Director, and a proud member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Diane loved teaching, mentoring, and lifting others—especially the youth, who were drawn to her kindness and energy.
Her greatest joy came from her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is survived by her loving husband, Larry P. Holbrook, and their children:
Noele (Holbrook) Hendrickson and her husband Randy; grandchildren Chandler, Danielle, and Tamra.Feliece (Holbrook) Jensen and her husband Jason; grandchildren Ashlee, Chelsea, Isaac, and Clarice.Chris Holbrook; grandchild Jackson.Hilary (Holbrook) McConkie and her husband Greg Peterson; grandchildren Sidney, Porter, Austin, and Emily. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, James and Elizabeth Ingleby, and her daughter-in-law, Sharon Holbrook.
Diane’s life was a beautiful example of love, faith, and quiet strength. Her legacy lives on through the generations she inspired, the friends she uplifted, and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love.
