RENSSELAER - Diane (Hogle) Johnson, fondly known by many as "Bama," passed away on November 12,2025, peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on September 3, 1944, in Rensselaer, where she made her lifelong home with her devoted husband of 63 years, Guy Johnson Jr.
Diane was a loving and dedicated mother to four children, Kim (Steve) Zach, Guy,III (Kati) and Michael. She was predeceased by her daughter, Dee (Bill) Moxon.
She took immense pride and joy in being "Bama" to her grandchildren, Will Moxon, and Jack and Emma Johnson, who were the light of her life.
Born to the late John and Helen Hogle, Diane was one of nine siblings. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Jenkins and Christine Hintz. Diane was predeceased by her siblings, Joyce Reinhardt, Robert Hogle, John Hogle, Bill Hogle, Betty Bonner, and Jean Schouten.
Diane was a woman of many talents and passions. She worked as a hairdresser for many years, a career she truly loved. Her creativity, warmth, and ability to make others feel special shone through in everything she did. Outside of work, Diane enjoyed knitting and crocheting, creating countless blankets, hats, and scarves that she shared generously with family and friends. She loved spending time with her sisters, especially during lively games of cards and scrabble. She also loved working on puzzles, there was always one spread out on the table waiting for her to finish. Some of her happiest times were spent camping with her family at Salisbury Beach, Mass., a cherished yearly tradition filled with laughter, love and lasting memories.
Diane will be remembered for her deep love of family. Her laughter, and generous spirit will be deeply missed, but forever cherished and in our hearts.
Funeral arrangements will be private and at the convenience of the family.
