Diane King, a beloved member of the Reidsville community, passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 69. She was born on July 22, 1956, in Starke, FL to James and Dorothy Gregory. She had lived most of her life in Reidsville. Diane was a vibrant spirit with an unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community. She graduated from Jenkins County High School in 1976, paving the way for a life filled with purpose and connection.
Throughout her career, Diane showcased her strong work ethic and commitment to service. She worked as a paper inserter at Tattnall Journal. Her time at Goodwill further exemplified her caring nature as she contributed to a cause that supported those in need. However, her most cherished role was that of a homemaker, where she poured her heart and soul into nurturing her family.
Diane was known for her warm personality and a smile that could light up a room. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. This innate kindness and genuine interest in others made her a cherished friend and confidant to many.
A proud member of Reidsville Baptist Church, Diane was actively involved in her faith community. Her contributions to the church reflected her commitment to making a positive impact and supporting those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Melvin, Larry and Raymond Gregory.
Diane is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael King of Reidsville; her son, James "Jimmy" King (Angela) of Reidsville; siblings, Gene (June) Gregory of Dayton, TN, Betty Rowell and Tammy (David) Talbot all of Reidsville; several nieces and nephews.
To honor Diane's life and legacy, a visitation will be held on December 6, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Low Country Cremation & Burial, with Dr. Charles Jonas and Rev. Dee Bondurant officiating.
