Cheryl Diane Hodges LeBeouf passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Abita Springs, Louisiana, on June 8, 2025, at the age of 65. Born in Panama City, Florida, on December 2, 1959, Diane lived a life filled with love, intention, and grace.
A proud graduate of the University of New Orleans, Diane earned her Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts with honors. She went on to manage the office of her beloved husband's law firm, where her sharp mind and impeccable organization were invaluable. A woman of many talents, she also held a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was a gifted, self-taught interior decorator whose creativity brought warmth and beauty into every space she touched.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents, James A. Hodges, Jr. and Gladys Aileen Hodges.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Albert J. LeBeouf, Sr.; her sister, Sharon Hodges (Bob); her niece, Sara McCann (Cary); her great-nephew, Beau; her nephew, James Harvey (Malayne); her great-niece, Charlotte; her lifelong friend and sister, Tina Long, her husband Gary, and their children: Shani Lannert, Dena (Kelly Donnell) and Geoffrey Long (Tara), her close friend, Janet Hensley, her husband Skip and son Nathan. She is also lovingly remembered by her stepsons, Albert "Butch" J. LeBeouf, Jr. (Nevena) and Paul LeBeouf (Emily); daughter-in-law, Theresa LeBeouf; and three grandchildren, Julien LeBeouf (Hannah), Shane LeBeouf, and Élène Michele LeBeouf, her brother-in-law Larry LeBeouf, sisters-in-law, Ella Harleaux and Donna Leah Carstarphen. Diane leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters, and brothers-in-law, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Diane was a radiant soul, known by all as a shining light whose presence brought joy, comfort, and laughter. She lived life on her own terms, meticulously planning and executing it with intention and love. Her favorite place was her back porch, perfectly positioned to take in the view of the flowers and yard her Albert so lovingly tended for her. She also found great peace in the white sands of Destin, toes in the surf, a Corona in hand, and a heart full of joy.
To know Diane was to feel welcomed, hugged tightly, and kissed with squeaky affection. She was the perfect wife, mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend, and matriarch-she truly took care of everyone. Her unwavering faith in God, deep love for her family, and unmatched warmth leave behind a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Guests are encouraged to wear colorful attire in honor of Diane's luminous life and spirit.
