Diane Mathis Obituary
Mrs. Mathis was born on February 27, 1945, daughter of the late Wayne George Routh and the late Elizabeth Zuber Routh. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Gary Routh. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Mathis worked as an Administrative Assistant for Johnson Controls and Darlington School. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Mrs. Mathis loved African Violets and was an active member of the African Violet Society.
Survivors include her husband, Julius Eugene "Gene" Mathis; a daughter, Nancy O'Grady (Shawn); a son, Bill Mathis (Libby); a grandson, Wyatt Mathis.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 3pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Sunday from 2pm until the service time.

Gene we were so sorry to learn of Diane´s passing. She was always joy and sunshine and we loved her so. She will be sorely missed when the Y gang gathers for lunch. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
