Diane G. O'Bryant

Inman, SC -- Diane Gloria Holmes O'Bryant, 86, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior on November 28, 2025.

Diane was born on April 19, 1939 in Calcutta, India, to British parents, the late Alfred William Henry and Florence Ellen Shepherd Holmes. Her family returned to England when she was 10 years of age and she finished her schooling there.

In 1964, she moved to the United States. Diane never had children of her own, but shared her love with family and friends and was particularly fond of all sorts of animals.

A dedicated career executive and corporate secretary, Diane devoted many years to administrative leadership and professional service to multiple companies, including One Price Clothing. Diane also served as a former executive secretary for Evangel Cathedral, where her reliability, grace, and commitment to service were deeply valued. Her professional life was marked by integrity, loyalty, and a genuine care for the people and organizations she supported. She pursued excellence in her work and in her appearance and showed class and dignity in the way she presented herself. Despite the fact that she faced many obstacles, Diane built an honorable life for herself.

She is survived by her brothers, Kenneth Brian Holmes, Stephen Leslie Holmes, and Peter John Holmes, multiple nieces, and nephews, and by her dear friend, Sandra Graham.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by Patricia Ann Holmes, Phillip Charles Holmes, Alfred William Holmes, Robert Arthur Holmes, Alan David Holmes, and James Richard Holmes.

A private burial will be held at Wood Memorial Park, Gap Creek Rd. Lyman, SC
