Diane "Ms. Estee Lauder" Marie Rivers (Formica-Kosischke), 80, passed at her home in Meriden, Connecticut, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Diane, born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on May 20, 1945, was the loving daughter of the late Joseph J. and Annie Marie (Cassidy) Formica of Middletown, Connecticut.
Diane is survived by her three daughters, Heather Wells (Kosischke) of Meriden, Tara Gardinier (Kosischke) and her husband, Chuck Gardinier, of Meriden and Shannon Kosischke of Meriden. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, whom she adored, Paige Cassina of Meriden, Chandler Cassina of Tolland and Cassidy and Cameron Wells of Meriden. She also leaves behind her brother, Joseph G. Formica of Meriden; and her sister, Deborah Luft (Formica) of Meriden. Also left to cherish her memory are nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she adored. Besides her parents, Diane was predeceased by her dear brother, Anthony Formica.
Family and friends are invited to call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden, CT 06450, on Saturday, August 23rd, from 9 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, alongside her former husband, Carl J.
