Diane Louise Thomas

Diane Louise Thomas, age 83 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Village on The Park living community in Friendswood, Texas. Diane was born January 26, 1943 in Pasadena, Texas and had been a resident of Alvin for the last 8 years formerly of Palestine, Texas. She was proud housewife and very devoted to her Baptist faith. She was very active in her church, teaching Sunday school, Bible School and singing in the choir. She enjoyed being a part of the Christian Women's club. Photography was her passion later in life. She was a member of Palestine Photography Club and many times teaching lessons there. She loved hitting the backroads and photographing old barns and animals. Her true love was her family and spending time with them when she could. Diane is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Thomas; parents, Truman and Ima Ramsey; sister, Jan Ramsey.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Ginger Mentzel and husband Kevin; son, Paul Thomas; grandchildren, Shauna Burgess and husband DeWayne, Torie Parnell and husband Niles, Chase Thomas and wife Katie, Rylie Thomas and Tanner Thomas; great grandchildren, Easton Burgess, Emery Burgess, Barrett Parnell, Ryder Thomas and Bowen Thomas; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, April 3, 2026 at Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery. (3100 FM 317 Athens, Texas 75752)
