Diane Voss Obituary

In Loving Memory of Diane Marie Voss
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diane Marie Voss, age 74, of Jordan, Minnesota. Diane passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Diane was born on July 4, 1951, in Mankato, MN, to Milo "Mike" and Patsy Burgess. She was the oldest of five children and embraced her role as a caregiver early in life. On November 6, 1971, she married Steve Voss, and together they built a loving home in Le Sueur, Delevan, and Belle Plaine, raising four children along the way.
Diane had a love for the simple joys in life-playing Bingo and cards, crocheting, and making annual visits to the Minnesota State Fair and Renaissance Festival. Her warmth and sense of humor were never far from the surface, and she found joy in spending time with family and friends.
Driven by a deep desire to help others, Diane pursued a career in nursing later in life. While working as a security guard at Little Six and Mystic Lake Casinos, she studied nursing at Hennepin Technical College, graduating on August 30, 1989. She earned her LPN license on December 5, 1989, and went on to work at Central Health Care in Le Center, The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine, and Auburn Manor in Chaska. She also served her community as an EMT with the Belle Plaine Ambulance Service.
Diane is survived by her children:
Kim (Jason), Shauna (Steve), Lance (Becky), and Mike
Grandchildren:
Brandon, Kallie, Jaydon, Jordan, Jonathan, Jacob, Allen, and Aiden
Siblings:
Michael (Robin) Burgess, Dawn (Mike) Nelson
Along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Milo and Patsy Burgess, and her brothers Kevin and Richard, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
