Diane L. Ziolkowski (nee Murawski), affectionately known as “Mrs. Z” or “Di,” passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, at the age of 89. Surrounded by her family, Diane’s journey came to a gentle close, marking the end of a life filled with warmth, caring, and devotion.
Diane was reunited in spirit with her beloved husband of 56 years, Daniel “Dan” Ziolkowski. She was a loving mother to James (Dawn), the late Mary Fredrich, David (Jennifer), and Sandra (Joe). Diane’s legacy continues through her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also remembered by her dear brother Richard (Dee) Murawski, and was preceded in death by her sister Sharon Murawski. Diane is further survived by other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
Diane graduated from Pulaski High School in 1954. She furthered her commitment to caring for others by graduating from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in 1956. After nursing school, Diane dedicated herself to raising her four children before returning to the workforce as a unit clerk at St. Francis Hospital, where she remained until her retirement.
A visitation for Diane will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-South Shore Chapel (1314 Manitoba Ave., South Milwaukee, WI 53172) on Saturday, October 25 from 9:30-11:30AM with her funeral service at 11:30AM. Burial will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery; committal service will be in the Holy Family Chapel at 1PM.
