DIANNA LYNN CURTIS (TEAGUE)
Dianna Lynn Curtis (Teague), age 78, of Plano, Texas, passed away on November 16, 2025. She was born on February 3, 1947, in Sherman, Texas, to Gene and Stella (Hargis) Teague.
Dianna married Richard Lynn Curtis on September 12, 1964, in Sherman, Texas. She passed away peacefully at Baylor Heart Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones.
Dianna is survived by her loving husband of sixty-one years, Richard Curtis of Plano, Texas. She grew up in Sherman and graduated from Sherman High School in 1965.
Dianna and Richard moved to Plano in 1971, where they raised four daughters. She began working for Geomap Co. in Plano in 1976, dedicating fourteen years to the company. In 1990, she joined Taylor Publishing, where she later retired. Always a people person, Dianna worked part-time at Dollar Tree in Plano for 10 years, retiring in January 2025.
Dianna had many passions throughout her life, such as reading, specifically John Grisham, Sue Grafton, and Stuart Woods. She also enjoyed going to the casino on occasion. In April of 2007, she opened an antique shop called Remember This Antique Mall in downtown McKinney.
Dianna is survived by her brothers Mike and wife Kathi Teague of Plano, and Pat and wife Debbie Teague of Frisco. Daughters Kay Lynn and husband John Rhodes of Lewisville, Patty and husband Sean Mayo of Longview, and Kathy and husband Todd Harder of Allen. She was blessed with eight grandchildren whom she loved deeply: Lyndsey Shaw, Ashton Harder, Marshall Mayo, Madison Rhodes, Peyton Harder, Morgan Rhodes, Parker Mayo, and Claire Mayo. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her dog River, all of whom she cherished.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Eugene Teague (Gene) and Estelle Hargis Teague (Stella); sisters Connie Teague Harrison and Stellagene Teague Shelton; and her daughter, Tammy Lynn Betterton.
Dianna will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the deep love she held for her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Dannel Funeral Home, located at 302 S. Walnut Street, Sherman, Texas 75090.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Dannel Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, Texas 75090. Rev. Denise Peckham from First United Methodist Church in Sherman will officiate.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Curtis will be Ashton Harder, Morgan Rhodes, Marshall Mayo, Parker Mayo, Barrett Wright, Henry Harder, and Ethan Shaw.
