Age 64 of Reddick, Illinois, formerly of Braceville, Illinois, died Friday, September 12, 2025 in Reddick.
Born October 31, 1960 in Wilmington, Illinois, Dianna Marie was a daughter of Melvin Brown and Mildred (Griffith) Turner. She was raised in Braceville, graduated from Gardner South Wilmington High School, and attended Joliet Junior College. On August 19, 1978, Dianna married Phillip Hollis in Pensacola, Florida, and together they shared in 40 years of marriage and raised two sons.
She worked for several years at Johnson and Johnson Personal Products in Wilmington until she gained employment with GCA services and was contracted with the Exelon Nuclear Plant. Dianna enjoyed keeping her mind sharp by playing puzzle games, especially word searches, crossword puzzles, and Wordle. Family is what made her most happy, cherishing anytime spent with grandchildren who where the apple of her eye.
Survivors include two sons: Joe Hollis of Braceville and Phillip David (Kate) Hollis of Braidwood, Illinois; five grandchildren: Rory, Jackson, Jared, Callie, and Charlie; her mother-in-law, Anna (Ray) Worden, and brothers and sisters-in-law: Mark Clark of Reddick, Stacy Brown of Braidwood, Donna Hollis and Jeff (the late Mav) Hollis, both of Coal City, Illinois, Teresa Zelinski of Oglesby, Illinois, and Sylvia (Nelson) VanHaelst of Custer Park, Illinois; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Dianna was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Brown and Mildred Turner, and her husband, Phillip Hollis; her brothers and sisters: Ginger Brown, Mitchell Brown, Melba Clark, and Matthew Brown in infancy; father-in-law, Joe Hollis, Sr., and brother and sister-in-law, Tony Hollis and Cathy in infancy.
The family will receive friends at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation, and Dianna will privately be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois with her husband, Phillip.
