Dianna Marie Smith, age 92, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late David Smith, with whom she shared 69 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2021. Together, Dianna and David built a beautiful life rooted in faith, family, and love.

Cherished mother of David ( Sharon ) Smith, Donald (Sylvia) Smith, Linda Cox, Patricia Smith, and Mike (Darlene) Wanitshka. Adored grandmother of Nicole (Tony), Becky (Dave), Shawna (Ryan), Alisha (Bruce), Jeff (Nicole), and Nicole (Wes). Treasured great-grandmother of Aaron, Austin, Lexi, Jacob, Michael, Madix, Addison, Connor, and Amelia. Loving sister of the late Irene (the late Archie) and the late Arthur "Bill" ( Sharon ).

Born March 1, 1933, in Clarksville , TN to Vergie Mae and Arthur Clark, Dianna moved to Detroit in the early 1950s, where she graduated high school and began her adult life. She met the love of her life, Dave, at a New Year's Eve party when she was just 17; six months later they married, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with devotion and adventure.

In the late 1950s, Dianna and Dave moved to Westland , where they started their family. They later settled in Utica during the 1960s and raised their children there before moving to Rochester in 1978, where their home became a gathering place for family and friends.

Dianna worked for many years as a Secretary at Christ Lutheran Church in Utica , where she was a warm and welcoming presence. After Dave's retirement, the two spent cherished years traveling the United States together in their RV, making memories and enjoying life's simple pleasures.

Above all, Dianna devoted her life to her family. She poured her heart into creating a loving home, supporting her children and grandchildren through every milestone, and making sure everyone around her felt cared for and cherished.

Known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love, Dianna leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and simple joys. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her warm smile, and the way she made every gathering feel like home.
