Our beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend, Ms. Dianne Green, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side, on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the age of 68 years. Dianne was born on January 18, 1957, in Saginaw, MI, the daughter of Spencer Sr. and Shirley Green.
Dianne attended Buena Vista High School, “Class of 1976.” She was employed at General Motors (Chevrolet Grey Iron Plant), American Maintenance Cleaning Company, and Meijer in the Deli Department until her health failed.
Dianne accepted Christ at an early age. She was reared up in TrueVine Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor R. B. Corley, Sr., and Rev. Paul E. Broaddus. Dianne had a heart of gold. She would help anyone in need with the blink of an eye. She was admired by many for her zealous personality, her witty sense of humor, her affectionate smile and touch, and most importantly, the love she had for all.
Dianne loved to play bingo, go to the casino with her daughter and dear friend, Margaret Ann, and play spades and dominoes with her Uncle Bob (RIH). She got the most joy from watching her favorite girl, Tasha and son-in-law, bowl in the Old School, Monday Nite 14, Come Back Girls and Independents #1 leagues, and caring for and being with her only grandson, Kyrie. Their love and bond were unconditional. She also loved watching basketball and football, especially the Los Angeles Lakers and the Detroit Lions with her son-in-law affectionately known as Ike. Dianne leaves us rich in memories; her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her dearly.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughter, Tasha (Clarence) Brown, Jr; her grandson, Kyrie Green; her bonus daughter, Ebony and bonus son, Demar (D Bird); six siblings, McCoy (Laura) Green, Fanny Marie (Columbo) Clayton, Robert (Tammy) Green, Darliane (Spencer) Blackmon, Donna (Demaret) Bailey all of Saginaw, MI, and Kenny Lenoir, Atlanta, GA; one sister-in-law, Shawn Green; a very special niece, Valorie Green, Dallas, TX, and three very special nephews, Edward Pierson, Jr., Saginaw, MI, Kadeem (Ashley) Green, Puyallup, WA; and Raven (Ariyana Horrison); Rochester Hills, MI; a very special great-nephew, Dariouse Green; one aunt, Abbie Lee Smith, Detroit, MI; and many cousins, friends and extended family, including Reggie (Gail) Choyce, Stacy Pought, Erica McCulloh, Melvin Benbow, Jenny F, Delores J, Val K, Kat E, Tracie P, Toni S, Janice S, Delfie B, Ronald (Barbara) Reece (Alabama), and her god-daughter, Trudie M (Florida).
Those awaiting her arrival in Heaven include her parents, Spencer Sr. and Shirley Green, brothers, Spencer Green, Jr., and Pastor James Hester; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Emmitt Jones; Nefonzie Pierson, Jr. (daughters’ father); grandparents; many aunts, cousins, friends and uncles, including a very special uncle, Robert Hayes.
The family of Dianne Green wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all of you for your prayers, presence, love, telephone calls, and all other expressions of concern that you have shown during our time of bereavement.
