Dianne Hunter Obituary
The family will receive friends on Monday 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Hermitage Hills Baptist. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 8th, 2024 at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church, with Dr. Poly Rouse officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Dianne entered this life on January 18, 1939 in Nashville, Tn to the late Jesse Sterling and Mildred South. She graduated from West End High School in 1957 and attended Middle Tennessee State College. She was a beloved member of Hermitage Hills Baptist Church. Dianne loved her family and friends deeply. She spent a lot of her years playing tennis and golf and was still actively playing bridge.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Beverly Mills.
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Melvin Perry Hunter; children Derek Hunter (Renee), Kimberly Hunter Allen, Cary Hunter (Shannon); brother Jim South (Sandy): grandchildren Nathan Hunter, Chandler Allen, Andrew Hunter, Cara Hunter, Caroline Hunter and Cooper Allen; loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Hunter, Chandler Allen, Andrew Hunter, Cooper Allen, Nicholas Balthrop and Steve Mills.
Memorial donations may be made to Alive Hospice 1718 Patterson St. Nashville Tn 37203, and St Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis Tn 38105.

I had the privilege and honor of taking care of Dianne while she was at Alive Hospice. Dianne had a big heart and her kindness was felt by all who entered her room. She loved her family and friends deeply (including her kitty, Zoe), and told stories of how blessed she was to have amazing people in her life. I am truly lucky to have met and connected with Dianne. My love and prayers go out to her family.
