Dianne Jackson, 81, formerly of Brainerd, MN passed away to be with Jesus on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Grand Arbor Assisted Living in Alexandria, MN.
Dianne (Morgan) Jackson was born April 15, 1944 in Brainerd, MN. She grew up on the Wise Road doing lots of hard work and gardening. She graduated from Washington High School in Brainerd in 1962.
She was married to Charles Jackson December 5, 1964. They lived in Plymouth, MN for 6 ½ years and then moved back to the South Long Lake area for the next 50 years. She was a stay-at-home mom for 15 years. She worked 25 years for the Brainerd District 181 School District in food service from 1979-2004.
Dianne was a member of the First Baptist Church. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ.
Dianne put the Lord first in her life. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and entertaining. Whenever her grandchildren came to visit, they would first search the kitchen to see what she had baked. She also enjoyed doing needlework, reading, and camping with her children and grandchildren. Dianne enjoyed attending all her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and sports events. She took photos at all of these activities and put together albums of each event. Charlie and her traveled a lot and saw most of the 50 states. They wintered in Casa Grande, AZ for four winters.
Dianne was known as the “angel pin lady”. She gave angel pins to many from an angel pin ministry that she found when traveling in Arizona. She deeply loved her time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Trina (Jeff) Poster of Alexandria, MN and son Todd (Jennifer) Jackson of Detroit Lakes, MN. Grandchildren Dallas (Holea) Charles of Alexandria, MN, Samantha (Griffin) Runge of Eagle Bend, MN and Levi Charles of Alexandria, MN and Kayley (Tanner) Vigesaa of Gilbert, AZ, Parker Jackson of Maui, HI, Payton (Ashley) Jackson of Detroit Lakes, MN and Cade Jackson of Detroit Lakes, MN. Great grandchildren Abel and Myla Charles, Elana Runge, Graycen Jackson, and Aria Vigesaa. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Betty Mathson of Coon Rapids, MN and many nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Charles William Jackson, her parents Sherley Blaine Morgan and Leona Alma (Marsh) Morgan, her brother-in-law David R. Jackson and sister-in-law Marlene ( Gallant) Jackson, brother-in-law Richard (Dick) Mathson, and grandson Cody William Charles.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Baxter with visitation one hour before at 10:00 A.M. Visitation will be at Brenny Funeral Home Friday, June 6, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Burial will be at South Long Lake Hillside Cemetery, south of Brainerd. Lunch will follow the service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
