Dianne Kevas Obituary

Dianne "Dee" Kevas, 77, of Murphy, passed on to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
She was a native of Elmira, N.Y. She attended Horseheads High School but was a 1965 graduate of Edison High School in Elmira, N.Y.
As a young woman, Dee moved to New Port Richey, Fla. There she met her future husband, Ken, and was married on Nov. 2, 1968.
She moved to Clearwater, Fla., where she worked and managed at numerous high-end restaurants in the area. She gave birth to her only child, Brian, in 1972.
Dee moved to Murphy in 1993 and established Ground to Graphics, and ran the business alongside her family until her death.
She loved the outdoors, traveling and caring for her dogs and cats. Dee loved life and her love of family was evident daily.
She was the daughter of Betty Brown of Murphy and the late Alfred Nathan Brown.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Laura Shelton; and one brother, Butch Brown.
In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Kevas of Murphy; one son, Brian Kevas and wife Gina, also of Murphy; one step grandson, Cameron Killian; two grandchildren, Skye Kevas and Kevin Vincent Kevas; one brother, Keith M. Chamberlain and wife Cathy of Dunnellon, Fla.; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins from Florida to New York.
The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in memory of Dianne ""Dee"" Kevas to American Cancer Society, Multiple Myeloma Group, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741, or cancer.org/donate.
Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, was in charge of arrangements.
