Dianne New Obituary
She is survived by her loving husband, Chip New; her three children, Holly Campbell and husband SgtMaj. Shawn Campbell, Julie Smoke and husband Chris Smoke, and Chris Daw and wife Jackie Davis; eight grandchildren, Courtney Dawley, Amber Thigpen, Christian Smoke, Marissa Phipps, Riley Davis, Walker Daw, Summer Daw, and Jackson Daw; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Herring Myers, and her father, Daniel Cruse.
Dianne was known for her strong will, unwavering love for her family, and her warm sense of humor. She lived a life devoted to caring for others, proud to be many things to many people - a devoted Wife, loving Mother, proud Nana, dedicated Nurse, and cherished Friend to all who knew her.
Plans for a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to medical research of their choosing as her lifelong goal was always to help others.

I worked with Dianne at the Duplin Prison. She & I worked weekends together. She was a very good worker & a fine friend. I always thought so much of her. I know she´ll be missed so very much. I´m praying for all of her family and friends.
