Dianne Elizabeth Sexton, 62, of Avon Park, Florida passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025 at Baycare-Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Florida. She was born July 17, 1963 in Miami Beach, Florida to Jimmy R. Sexton and Alma H. Sexton. Known to many as Granny or Granny Nanny, she was a longtime Highlands County resident who filler her time listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her dong, Honey Sue. She was an exceptional woman with the kindest heart, always willing to put others before herself. She is survived by her mother, Alma H. Sexton of Avon Park, FL; her older brother, David (Lynn) Sexton of Miramar, FL; her children, son Jimmy (Ann) Sexton of Ocala, FL; daughter Rachael Vevier of Ocala, FL; son, Dwayne Northcutt of Avon Park, FL ; son Toby Light of Avon Park, FL; her grandchildren Mia Baxley (Jacob), Addison Sexton and Jimmy [JJ] Sexton; great-grandchild Raelynn Baxley; nieces and nephews Brendon and Mason. Dianne is also survived by many cousins and loved ones. Dianne is preceded in death by her father, Jimmy R. Sexton, and her younger brother, Derril Sexton. While we mourn the loss of our loved one, we celebrate her life knowing she is resting with Jesus, for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, 2 Corn. 5:8. A Celebration of Dianne's life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Avon Park, FL. Graveside service to follow.
