Dianne Frances Smith, 76, of Spring Lake, NC passed away peacefully Friday May 16, 2025 at Valley Hospice House in Fayetteville, NC surrounded by family and friends.
Dianne was born Feb 11, 1949 in Las Alamos, NM to the late Henry Odell Jenkins and late Nettie May Hobbs Jenkins.
Dianne retired from Harnett County Schools, Anderson Creek Dental, and Huff and Huff Family Dentistry. More recently, she was her husband Larry’s full-time caregiver.
Dianne is survived by her husband Larry Smith of the home; daughter Crystle Furin and her husband Matthew Furin of Mooresville, NC; daughter Tammy Muza of Fayetteville NC; son Chad Smith and his wife Cathy Smith of Stedman, NC; sisters Carrie Woolsey, Fern Teems, and Ginger Herndon; brothers Art Jenkins, John Jenkins, Vick Jenkins and Odell Jenkins; grandchildren Brittany Nichols and husband Brandon Nichols, Dustyn Downing, Jamie Hayes and husband Willard Hayes, Joseph Furin, and Kerstyn Smith; 9 Great Grandchildren; and many extended family members.
She is preceded in death by brother Lawrence Jenkins.
Dianne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved and cherished her family, she was very involved with her church, and was a pillar of her community. She was an avid gardener and was passionate about decorating. She was loved by all who knew her.
A celebration of Dianne’s life will take place Friday May 23, 2025, from 6pm-8pm at Antioch Church of God 542 Shaw Road, Fayetteville NC 28303.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, St Jude or Valley Hospice House in Fayetteville NC.
