Richard (Dick) Edward Van Poucker passed away peacefully with his faithful companion, Sweetie, by his side on February 9, 2024. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine (Jerry), of 52 years, his brother Leo (Eva) Van Poucker, his sister June (William) Richardson, nephew Ron (Su) Richardson, niece Nancy (Ed) Karnes, and niece Michelle Karel. He is survived by his nephews: Gerry (Jenny) Richardson, Eric (Ron) Van Poucker, Chuck Richardson, and Doug Van Poucker; his nieces: Susan (Eric) Jarboe, Julie, Brown, Ruth(Ken) Oliver, and Cindy (Glen) ADAMEK; and 21 great nieces and nephews.

Dick was born on November 5, 1927 in Detroit Michigan. He served as a turret mechanic on B-29 bombers in World War II . After his time in the Air Force, he worked for Fuller Brush, Co. in Ohio. In 1961 he married the love of his life and moved to Florida, where he settled in Crystal River and built Thunderbird Mobile Home Park. Dick was an avid golfer. He was a philanthropist, supporting The Sheriff's Youth Ranch, St. Judes , The Red Cross , Key Training Center, and many others. He was very active in his community, he was a member of the Elks Club, the Moose Lodge, and the VFW.

A memorial open house will be held at his home on Saturday, February 17 from 2 to 6 PM. (3891 N Eagle Pt. Crystal River). Dick's family would love for you to join them in celebrating his life.

Uncle Dick loved his nieces & nephews...one of my first memory is when he would give us his Fuller Brush samples! It was great! He was always willing to play with us & although we were little kids, he always made us feel important
