Of Gates, Passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at age 94. Predeceased by his wife, Rosa Scanio; father and mother, Gaetano and Domenica Scanio; sisters, Margaret, Phylly, Mickey, Connie, Josie and Phyllis. He is survived by his children, Thomas Scanio (Cindy), Ann Marie (Ferdnol) Chambers, Dennis (LuAnn) Scanio; grandchildren, Frank Steven (Nicole) Bonafide, Salvatore Bonafide (Chelsea), Louis Diego Scanio (Nora); sisters, Lina Bennardo of Italy, Carmela Basso; many nieces and nephews; his special friend, Louis DiSarra. Mr. Scanio was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Co.
Friends may call FRIDAY, April 11, 2025, from 4-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Saturday, April 12, 2025, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30AM at St. Theodore's Church, 168 Spencerport Road. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Mr. Scanio's family would like to thank the staff at Unity Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.
