December 10, 1939 - February 25, 2022
Diffie Cornelius "D.C." Needham Jr. 82, of Kannapolis, passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
He was born Dec. 10, 1939, in Moore County, to the late Diffie Needham Sr. and Mary Stamey Needham. D.C. worked as a heavy equipment operator for Blythe construction for over 50 years, and in his spare time he enjoyed camping with family and friends. He was always providing for his family. He would give you his shirt off his back if you needed it.
In addition to his parents, D.C. was preceded in death by sister, Ruth Carneis Hicks; and brother, Gene Edward Needham.
D.C. is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ada Needham; brother, Mark E. Needham; children, Debra Kay Hunter, Denny C. Needham, and Allen H. Needham; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, with one on the way in August.
