Dina Hatzopoulos nee Koliopoulos fell asleep in the Lord November 13, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Christos Hatzopoulos and loving mother of Voula (Kostas) Forligas and Andrew (Beth) Hatzopoulos. Devoted daughter of the late Dimitri and Hareklia Koliopoulos. Proud grandmother of Maria Forligas, Kristina (Jason) Rook, and great grandmother of Katherine and Dean Rook.

Dear sister of Anthipi (Leonidas) Polychronis of Greece, the late Magdaline (Dan) Paul, the late Georgia and late George Theophelos, the late Kassiane (Theodosis) Janakas, and the late Kosta and late Koula Koliopoulos. Fond aunt of many.

She was the heart of the family - strong-willed, a little feisty, and endlessly giving. She helped raise her grandchildren and became a second mother and steady presence to anyone who needed her. Known for her honesty, her warmth, and her ability to care for others in her own unique way, she always made people feel supported and understood. Whether through her cooking, her conversation, or simply her presence, she created a home where everyone felt cared for. Her spirit, her strength, and the love she shared will be remembered by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held at the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Chapel in Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL on Tuesday November 18 at 10am. Funeral services will be at 11am. Burial to immediately follow. May her memory be Eternal.
