Dixie Eileen DeVol, 92, of Lancaster, OH passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025.
She was born April 24, 1933, near Laurelville, OH to the late Wilson Karshner Ross and Dora (Smith) Ross.
Dixie spent many years researching her family’s genealogy. She was employed in the offices of Westinghouse Electric Supply Co. N Fourth St., Columbus, OH, Anchor Hocking Glass Co., Lancaster, and Carborundum, Logan, OH.
She is survived by her two sons Ross C. (Melissa) DeVol of Bentonville, AR and Rob R. (Lisa) DeVol of Lancaster, OH; four grandchildren Nicholas A. DeVol and Shawn C. DeVol of Lancaster, OH, and Clark C. DeVol and Claire J. DeVol of Bentonville, AR; two step-grandchildren Nicholas Mitchell of Lancaster, OH and Catherine (Paul) Shepherd of Steubenville, OH; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Dixie was preceded in death by her husband Clark A. DeVol (January 2002); her parents; and brothers Harry M. Ross (October 2014) and Wilson R. Ross (March 2022).
A private graveside service was held in Forest Rose Cemetery.
