Dixie Pettingell Obituary
Born in York, PA she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Dolly (Dickensheets) Stevenson. Dixie was raised by her loving grandparents, Lulu and Roy Dickensheets of York, PA. She worked in retail for the former Danskin Company and attended LCBC, Harrisburg Campus. Dixie loved all types of animals, especially cats, and loved attending church.
She is survived by her daughter Michelle, wife of Daryl Stahle of Anchorage, AK; five grandchildren Zach Grove, Cory Grove, Joshua Stahle, Brittany, wife of Nolan Kaiser, and Nathan Stahle; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers Johnnie Kirkessner and wife Cindy, and Randy Kirkessner and wife Amy. Dixie was preceded in death by her son Robbie Grove, and her sister Darlene J. Martin.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the local SPCA in her memory.

Margie wood. I am so sorry to hear of Dixie passing. She was a great friend and Co worker. She was a kind and thoughtful person. She will be greatly missed. Sincere sympathy to the family.

I´m so sorry to hear about Dixie worked at Danskin together and was friends for so many years.. It´s breaking my heart to hear this. I will miss our conversation on the weekends since I am in North Carolina.. Missing you Praying for Michelle and family
