Dollie Pearl Cotter, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, was born on May 27, 1935, in Chadwick, Missouri. She peacefully departed from this life on November 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Pearl was a warm and gentle soul whose spirit touched all who knew her.
Pearl, spent most of life in retail customer service, where she enjoyed her daily interaction with customers.She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including crocheting baby blankets for future generations, playing cards and dominos with her siblings, and immersing herself in books.
Pearl is survived by her two daughters, Linda Galyon and husband Jimmy and Glenda Wilson and husband John. She was a cherished grandmother to Mary, Michael and wife Peggy, Mickey and wife Tina, Will, Leigh, Seth, Trent and wife Nicole, and Trevor and wife Cierra; 16 great -grandchildren; 13 great – great – grandchildren; one brother, Leon and wife Judy; and two sisters, Imogene, Ollie and husband Larry. She nurtured her family with unwavering love and laughter, leaving behind a wealth of cherished memories.
Pearl was preceded in death by: her husband,Gene Cotter; parents, Richard and Wilma Procter; daughter, Brenda Smith; grandson, Travis Smith; brother, Charles Procter; and a brother-in- law Bob Noel.
In honor of her life, a vistation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home South on November 13, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Pearl's remarkable life during the funeral service on November 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. She will be laid to rest in love at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens. The casket will be closed after the visitation, and will not be reopened.
Pearl's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She taught us the value of kindness, the importance of family, and the joy found in simple moments. Her spirit will shine in the love and laughter shared by those she leaves behind.
