Dolores Mildred Butler

Dolores M. Butler (nee Favata), 93, of Paramus, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2022. Dolores was predeceased by her parents Ciro and Elizabeth Favata; husband Seth; sister Sally Stewart; and, two daughters, Ellen Glover and Susan Smith. She is survived by her son Robert and his wife, Susan; daughter Janet Krakowski and her husband, Richard; son David and his wife, Carol; Ellen's husband James Glover; her sibling, Sister June Favata; and, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Dolores, affectionately known as Dee, was always and ever a Jersey girl. Born in West New York, raised in Cliffside Park, she lived her last 59-years in Paramus. She devoted herself to many years of service at Immaculate Heart Academy in Washington Township and again as a volunteer at Saint Vincent Academy in Newark. Volunteering was an integral part of her life and Dee endeared herself to everyone with her openness and giving spirit.
Dee loved family gatherings, sharing meals and priceless moments around the table, delighting all with her generous nature and laughter. Her devotion to her loved ones was ever present. For her family, Dee was a compassionate, sweet and caring angel, now called home to God. In Dee's passing, as we grieve this loss, may we find hope, strength and gratitude in each other – gratitude for the kindness of friends and the love of family. May our happy memories with her sustain us.
Family will receive friends on Monday September 26, 2022, from 3:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 a.m on Tuesday September 27, 2022, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a Funeral Mass at Church of the Annunciation in Paramus at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
