Dolores Byrne-Gioia

Dolores Byrne-Gioia (nee Donnelly) entered into eternal rest, surrounded by family, on December 12, 2025. Born November 26, 1929, Dolores was a lifelong resident of the Philadelphia area. Dolores was a graduate John W. Hallahan Catholic High School for Girls in 1947, later raising her family with her beloved husband, Frank Byrne, in the Oxford Circle, relocating to Willow Grove, PA in her later years.
Dolores is predeceased by her parents James and Helen Donnelly, her brother James Donnelly, her husbands, Frank Byrne and Angelo Gioia, and her beloved grandson, Brian Byrne. Dolores is survived by her children: Eileen King (Joe), Francis Byrne (Trish), James Byrne (Sheila), Lori DiSipio (Mike), Maureen Mahon (Tom), and Kathy Nakonieczny (Dave), as well as her 18 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 16th at St David's Roman Catholic church in Willow Grove, PA. Visitation from 9:30-10:30 at the church, Funeral Mass to follow immediately after. Interment at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
