Dolores Lucetta "Dolly" Emens

Dolores (Dolly) Lucetta Emens age 91 passed peacefully while sleeping on August 22, 2023.

She is survived by her four children Karen, Barbara (Rabbit), James, and Tom.

Dolly was a Registered Nurse for 62 years before her retirement. During those years she helped countless people and created friendships that lasted many, many, years. Dolly's desire to help others never faltered, she was always willing to help others and extend a caring hand. She was an avid volunteer and donated her time and money to numerous charities. Dolly's open arms over the years welcomed college students, military members, and people from as far off as the Ukraine. She loved each and every one of them dearly. She was a true adventurer, never passing an opportunity to travel and see the world. In addition to her 4 children and friends from all over the world she leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 8 ½ great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with the service beginning at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers Dolly asked that everyone do one of two things; either send a donation to St. Jude to help the wonderful children or seek out an adventure and think of her as you go explore.
