Dolores M. Flynn

1932 - 2025

Dolores Meritt Flynn, 93, of Poolesville, MD passed away on November 15, 2025.

She was the loving wife to Daniel J. Flynn, Jr. and was "A Good Navy Wife"

Born on July 1, 1932, in Rochester, New York, she was the daughter of the late Edwin James and Florence Agnes (Devine) Meritt.

Surviving are her children, Martha Robertson and husband Scott, Daniel Flynn and fiance Lisa Fronczek, Andrew Flynn and wife Sandra, and Timothy Flynn; two grandchildren, Colleen Kase and husband Jeff, and James Robertson and wife Emily; and five great-grandchildren, Henry, Oliver, and Julia Kase, and Noah and Logan Robertson.

Dolores is remembered for her love of her family and her church, and very appreciative of the care and support over the years of her neighbors and friends. Dolores was grateful for the support of her son Timothy by the staff and members of St Mary's Church and the Knights of Columbus. Dolores was happiest when puttering around the house and tending to her flower gardens. Dolores always enjoyed family birthdays and holiday celebrations and was always ready for a "Pic-a-Day". "NanaD" smiled the brightest when enjoying the interactions she had with her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and the children next door and then recounting those activities to her family.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, November 22nd from 1-3 pm at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd., Barnesville, MD (hiltonfh.com).

Following a brief visitation at 10 am, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, November 24th at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 18230 Barnesville Rd., Barnesville, MD. (stmaryshrine.org)

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
