Dolly entered into eternal rest Wednesday evening, February 5, 2025 at her home in Peabody, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was 84 years of age. Born in Boston, she is the daughter of the late Salvatore and Alice Irene (King) Renda. Dolly grew up in Chelsea and attended Chelsea public schools; she was a graduate of Chelsea High School. Dolly worked as an administrative secretary for a waste management company. She began her career at Atlantic Waste in Lynn and then took employment at Waste Management in Somerville. She dedicated 25 years before retirement. Dolly was a lifelong resident of Chelsea until her health began declining in 2014, at which time she moved to Peabody to be with her daughter. Dolly was a hard worker throughout her life, always working hard to take care of her family. In addition to being a secretary, Dolly was a bartender at Wonderland Dog Track for 25 years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and she especially enjoyed time well spent with her grandchildren.
Dolly was the devoted mother of Michael W. Pagliarulo and his wife Mary, Thomas Pagliarulo and his wife Phyllis, Deborah Nuzzo and her husband Joseph, all of Peabody. Adored sister of Robert A. Renda and his wife Bonnie Solomon of Marco Island, FL and the late Thomas Renda and Linda Kezar. Dear sister-in-law of David Kezar of Lynn. Also lovingly survived by 8 grandchildren, Samantha Wait and her husband Markus, Michael Pagliarulo, Thomas Pagliarulo and his wife Audrey, Briana Gregoire and her husband Timothy, Robert Pagliarulo, Nicholas Pagliarulo, Julia Nuzzo, William Plourde and numerous nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours in the Carafa Family Funeral Home, 389 Washington Ave., CHELSEA on Tuesday, February 11, from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Dolly's services with conclude with a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dolly's beloved sister, Linda Kezar, to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or on-line at www.cancer.org.
