Dear Susan, Shelby and all of the beloved family members of Dolores Small,
We offer our sincerest sympathy and love to all of you at this sad and difficult time, and pray for comfort and peace as you say farewell to such a very special part of your own lives.
We would like to briefly share two memories of Dolores that live on in our hearts.
We met Dolores at Patrick and Shelby's wedding rehearsal dinner. Shelby, your Grandmother made us feel so welcome and loved. That is a very special and rare gift! She was open-hearted and had a sparkle in her eyes that made us even more thankful to be joining your family!
A few years later at Olivia's Baptism in Erie, PA, Dolores shared her delight in being able to attend this special family ceremony. During the Mass, she started to quietly cry. Susan, you wrapped your arms around her in a sweet and comforting hug. Dolores said she was missing her husband. That heartwarming mother-daughter moment truly touched our hearts.
In her final moments, Dolores surely had a sweet and comforting hug from Our Lord.
With Our Love and Prayers,
Dale and Leslie
