Dolores Stornelli Obituary
DELMAR - Dolores Helen Stornelli, 92, passed away on December 19, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Otto and Helen Juppin. Wife of Jesse C. Stornelli for 68 years. Mother of Margaret Ann Stornelli, Theresa Helen Kench (Nate), Karen Elizabeth Stornelli (Harold), Kathleen Marie Sonar (Guzelyurt), Jennifer Lynn Stornelli and the late Lawrence Dominick Stornelli. She was predeceased by her sister, Patricia; and brother, Richard. Delores graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in Hornell, N.Y., in 1954, and was the head nurse at St. James Hospital in Allentown, in 1960. Delores was active in volunteer work in Delmar with Meals on Wheels for 25 years, 20 years with the St. Peter's Becky House and a 15-year literacy volunteer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, 9:00 a.m., at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar. Friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Contributions in memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1003 New Loudon Rd., #201, Cohoes, N.Y. 12183.
