In Memory of Dolores O. Urbina
Dolores O. Urbina, affectionately known as "Lolita" by all, lived a life marked by a spirited personality that electrified all who had the privilege to know her. Lolita was born on April 04, 1935, in the welcoming community of
Corpus Christi, Texas. She came into this world bringing a passion that would only intensify throughout her 90 years. With heavy, but grateful, hearts, we announce her peaceful passing on October 27th, 2025, in the same town that she called home.
Dolores was a mother, grandmother, and adored sister. She leaves behind countless memories and an indelible mark on the hearts of those who loved her.
Lolita was a proud graduate of W. B. Ray High School, where her zest for life and learning was evident in all her endeavors. Following graduation, she began a fulfilling career at Green's Jeweler's. As an office manager for 45 years, Lolita's dedication and work ethic were unparalleled, and her retirement marked the end of an era for the company. Not one to rest on her laurels, she found a new way to touch lives at Trinity Towers, where she served as a companion, offering friendship and comfort to many.
Preceding her in death were her father Fernando Ortiz, mother Eva Elizondo Ortiz, beloved sister Gloria O. Quintero, and brother-in-law Guillermo "Willie" Quintero, and her niece Pricilla Aleman.
Lolita's legacy is carried on by her devoted daughter Debra Collins and her children Sarah and Sergio Perez-Collins, her brother Johnny Greenburg and his wonderful wife Michelle Lynn, niece Irma and supportive husband Joe Gonzalez, cousin Rosemary and encouraging husband Firdoon Mirfakhrai, extended family members, numerous great nieces, nephews; and dear friends.
Dolores' spirited nature was vibrant and manifested within the sanctuary of her family. Her passion for expression and her courage facing life's challenges were demonstrated fruitfully. Her colleagues and friends remember her as the very embodiment of care. In every task she took on, whether professional or personal, Lolita confirmed her fortitude. Those who knew her will remember her as a tough woman and an unwavering companion.
As we say goodbye to Dolores O. Urbina, we celebrate a woman whose life was lived fearlessly. Though her presence will be missed, the memory of her tenacity and resilience will continue to guide us. Her journey continues on in the stories that will be told and retold by those who loved her, a testament to an exceptional life.
