Dolores Marie "Dolly" Vodzak

On Thursday, February 20, 2025. Age 94. Dearly beloved mother of Edward (Susan) Vodzak and Cheryl Vodzak; loving grandmother of Brian (Amber) Vodzak and Alisa (Matthew) Barger; cherished great- grandmother (Doll-Doll) of Ciara, Ryder, Cooper, Lukas, Avery and Wesley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward, brothers Leonard and Thaddeus, and sisters Lillian and Adele. Dolly spent her early adult years working as an OR nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital, and in later years at the Baptist Nursing Home. She always said how wonderful it made her feel to be able to help those who were ill or infirm. As a wife she enjoyed spending time with her husband fishing in their canoe, growing a vegetable garden together and tending to their many flower beds. She passed on a love of growing things to her two children as well, though they would not have believed it when they were still in their teens! She was a loving and caring mother, always there to watch over and support her children. Dolly loved watching her grandchildren grow and become the adults they are today, and her great-grandchildren were the joy of her life! Spending time with her family was so important to her. Family and friends all loved her very much and our lives will be diminished without her in it. She leaves us with many good memories of her warm and loving spirit and will be so sadly missed. Arrangements by BEINHAUERS, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA. 724-941-3211. Family and friends are welcome on Monday, February 24, from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. for visitation. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 25, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, Bethel Park. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery immediately following.
