Dolores Vollenweider Obituary

Dolores L. Vollenweider
Dolores L. Vollenweider, 95, a resident at Wilton Meadows and a former longtime resident of Darien, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 7 after a long illness. Born May 31, 1930 in Coppersburg, PA, she was the daughter of Frances and Ralph Skagen.
Dolores graduated from Darien High School. She was a homemaker and a mother of three. Dolores sang alto in the Noroton Presbyterian Church Choir for 60 years and enjoyed cooking, baking, bowling, playing piano and painting.
She was preceded in death by her husband William and is survived by her three sons and their wives, Bruce and his wife MaryAnn, Eric and his wife Sally, and Mark and his wife Janet. She is also survived by her sister Thelma and six grandchildren, Sharon, Hannah, Jesse, Brianna, Joseph and William.
A memorial service will be held at Noroton Presbyterian Church, 2011 Post Road, Darien at 11:30 on Friday October 17, 2025.
