Domenic J. Calzaretto of
Cherry Hill, NJ died December 17, 2025. Age 91. Beloved husband of Frances (nee Ciarrocchi). Loving father of Phyllis Konen (Tom); John Calzaretto, Esq. (Ann); Florence Reif (Jim); Dr. Anthony Calzaretto (Lisa); Christina Calzaretto and Patricia Ferri (Damiano). Devoted grandfather of 15. Dear brother of Edward Calzaretto.
On Wednesday December 17th, 2025 we said goodbye to our beloved father, Domenic Calzaretto, who passed away peacefully at home. Our hearts are broken, yet we are deeply grateful for the love he gave us throughout his life. We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received during this difficult time.
We were raised in a home filled with love and grounded in strong Catholic values. Our father was a hardworking man, an expert watch repairman, and someone who had a true passion for his organic garden. He was always there for us, offering guidance, instilling morals, sharing wisdom, and, most of all, telling stories.
Dad lived a life rich with experiences, and he loved to share them. Often, we heard the same stories more than once and that was always perfectly fine with us. We cherished seeing the joy on his face as he relived those moments. Wanting our children, nieces, and nephews to carry these memories forward, we came together before Dad turned 90 to write a book titled My Life Stories.
He especially loved speaking about his childhood, his first job, and how he met our mother. He also experienced many supernatural moments, all of which he faithfully shared in his book. Dad loved life, family, and nature. but above all, he loved God. His faith was not separate from his life; it was woven into everything he did.
He cherished pasta Sundays with his red wine, when everyone patiently waited until all were seated so that Grace could be said before the meal. Those moments captured who he was, faithful, grateful, and family centered. His words were, "A family that prays together, stays together."
I once asked my father what he believed was the most important lesson in life. His answer was simple, yet profound:
"Love God with all that you are."
He often reflected on Scripture, especially the words of Jesus:
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind."
He truly believed that if we love God with all that we are, everything else falls into place. Today, we ask God to be with you, Dad. You lived a long life filled with love, faith, and devotion. May His light shine upon you as your journey with Christ continues.
And as Scripture reminds us:
"Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven."
With all our love,
Your children,
Philomena, Johnny, Florence, Anthony, Christina, and Patricia
