Domenica Greaves

Domenica Greaves (née Lacasella), 87, of Temple City, California, passed away on February 21, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinson's. Known as Dolly or Dee, she was born July 8, 1937, in Los Angeles, California, to Angelo and Edith Lacasella.
Domenica grew up in Los Angeles in the Cypress Park area. She attended Divine Savior Elementary School and graduated from Holy Family High School in Glendale in 1955. On June 3, 1961, Domenica married Richard Burton Greaves, Jr. at St. Peter's Italian Catholic Church. They first lived in Rosemead and then relocated to Temple City. She loved crafting, collecting dolls, knitting, and doing jigsaw and word puzzles. She was known for her many years volunteering at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church and School and Bishop Amat Memorial High School. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her kindness and generosity.
She is survived by two of her three children, Sheryl and Steven, two daughter-in-laws, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, son Bradley, and sisters Pauline and Victoria.
Services for Dee will be as follows. Viewing and Rosary will be held at Cabot & Sons Mortuary, Pasadena, California, on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, Temple City, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. She will be laid to rest with her loving husband. Reception to follow.
