Caring, compassionate, hard working man who lived life to the fullest, and dedicated his fullest to everything and everyone he involved himself with, especially with Elaine, his wife of sixty two years. He had many passions, including bike riding and scuba diving, with his life-long passion being photography, where he won countless awards and accolades, He made many friends along the way, while working at these passions and was loved by all that knew him. Dad, you will always be loved and sorely missed. May heaven be filled with many new landscapes, for you to photograph..Rest in peace.

I'm so grateful for the chance to know Dom, and to share for more than a decade our mutual love of cycling. Dom was also a mentor in some ways, as he was one of the first ride leaders at Long Island Bike Club to use GPS, as early as 2006. It was a big lumbering piece of electronics, the size of a brick in those early years -- it only took my wife and I four additional years to make use of the sleeker versions that were becoming ever-present on the trails and roads we plied. Dom also did me great honor in coming to my father's wake in 2007, though he never got a chance to meet my Dad. Dom facilitated a bike tour my wife and I undertook in South Africa in 2010 by loaning us a bike case to transport my bike on the airlines. And I will also never forget Dom leading us to some of the most intriguing vegetarian restaurants within our sundry destinations. As well, many of his Christmas cards, featuring stunning shots of wildlife, still grace our home. The first photo of Dom included here was taken by Morris Getz in July 2007. The rest displayed here are from my archives. To view my entire album of pictures of Dom with the LIBC, visit https://goo.gl/photos/gEK139mM1pE6AHnQ8.
