Domingo Colon Gonzalez, a loving father, cherished grandfather, and dedicated brother, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025. Born in Puerto Rico on June 28, 1954, Domingo's life was defined by the deep connections he forged and the family he held dear.
Domingo spent many years as a dedicated factory worker in Puerto Rico before making the journey to Lansing over two decades ago with his then-wife, Irene McDonald.
A man who lived for his family, Domingo's greatest joy was his grandchildren: Joel Jr., Christian, and Gabriel. They were the light of his life and his constant focus. He is also survived by: his beloved sons, Jose Rafael Colon and Joel Colon; and his older brother, Juan Luis Colon Gonzalez.
Domingo will be laid to rest alongside Irene McDonald at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Lansing. May they find eternal peace together in Heaven.

Uncle, rest in peace. I will always remember your warm smile, your incredible sense of humor, and the love you had for all of us-especially for my Dad, your only brother. I know how much you loved each other, and that bond will always inspire us. You touched our lives in so many ways, and your laughter, kindness, and love will stay with us forever. Though you are no longer here, your memory will live on in our hearts, and we will always cherish the moments we shared with you. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
