Dominick "Red" Benanti died Friday, November 4, 2022, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 84.
Born in New Brunswick to the late Frank and Mary Benanti, he was a lifelong North Brunswick Township resident. He was owner of D. F. Benanti, Inc. Redi Mix Concrete in New Brunswick and North Brunswick since 1963.
Mr. Benanti was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in Milltown. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served from 1958 to 1962.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Theresa "Terry" Benanti; two sons – Dominick Benanti, Jr. and his wife Georganne and James Benanti and his wife Carolyn; his daughter Marie Fisher and her husband Robert; his sister Joan Benanti; and five grandchildren – Stephanie and Frank Benanti and Jordan, Justin and Jillian Fisher.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Private funeral services will follow. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to Shriners Hospitals for Children at https://donate.lovetotherescue.org.
