Dominick Christiano

Dominick Christiano of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. a longtime resident of the area, passed away on April 30, 2023 at his home. He was 95.
The son of the late Giuseppe and Maria Christiano, he was born on March 29, 1928 in New York, N.Y.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served during the Korean War. Following his military service, Dominick worked and retired from Teamsters Local 456. Following his retirement from the Teamsters he was a longtime bus driver for the Greenwood Lake School District.
He was an avid reader and loved history. He loved traveling, especially his trips to Florida and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Dominick was a member of the Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, N.Y. and the Greenwood Lake American Legion.
He was the widower of Estelle Christiano.
Survivors include his children Joseph Christiano and his wife Judy of Michigan; Gary Christiano and his wife Eileen of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. and Allison Cernuto and her husband John Cernuto Jr. of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. His grandchildren Johnny, Nicholas, Deanna, Dominick, Victoria and Emma. His great-grandchildren Kassidy and Deangelo and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Anthony and his grandsons Joey and Anthony.
Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday May 3, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday May 4, 2023, at 10 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, N.Y.
Burial with military honors will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery Warwick, N.Y.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Church.
