Dominick "Danny" Porretta

Dominick (Danny) Porretta, 101 years old of Endicott, passed away on December 27, 2022 after a brief illness. He was born on February 16, 1921 in Pofi, Italy, and immigrated to the U.S. at sixteen years old.

He married the love of his life, Pauline Cerasaro on September 28, 1946. They shared a long commitment to each other recently celebrating their 76th wedding anniversary.

Dominick was predeceased by his parents Lorenzo and Angela Porretta (Pofi) and siblings Joseph (Pep), Anthony (Tony), Henry (Hank), Ida (Pat) Swagler.

He is survived by his wife Pauline, and three children David (Mary) Porretta, Westerville, Ohio, Donna (Doc) Malone, Orlando, Fl, and Paula (Tom) Kieffer, Syracuse as well as seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He loved his family beyond measure and took pride in all their achievements.

Dominick was a warm-hearted, generous soul. He loved life, family, and friends, and always offered a helping hand to those in need. He took pride in his home, family, and Italian traditions.

Following his retirement from The Town of Union, he worked athletic events at Union Endicott High School, and volunteered for En-Joie Professional Golf Tournaments. Dominick was an actively engaged parishioner at St. Anthony of Padua Church for many years and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.
