Don Paul Bray, age 65 of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 18, 2025. He was born in Louisville to the late Paul and Stella (Arnold) Bray on Friday, October 23, 1959.

He was a passionate University of Louisville sports fan. He enjoyed his Saturday mornings making his rounds through the Peddlers Mall and flea market. He was a collector of hats and mystical dragons. He was a loving husband, dad, brother, and papaw that will be missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Jeanene Bray; his children, Linda Bray ( John), Chris Bray and Jennifer Bray (Thurston); his grandchildren, Mike, Destiney (Jakob), Shyna (Chase), Christian (Maranda), and Jaxson; great-grandchildren, Rylee and Reign; his siblings, Danny Bray (Donna), David Bray (Deanna), and Barbara Clark; mother in law, Dolly Thorne; his best friend, Steve Blanton along with a host of dear family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Bessie and Leon Arnold, and his brother, Joe Bray.

Funeral services will be held at 6pm on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 2 pm until time of service at 6pm.
