I loved Mr. Carson. He was my first principal as a new teacher at Hutcheson in 1982. He cared about all of us, and looked after me like a second father. He was kind and even tempered. He'll be missed. My deepest sympathy to all of his family.

Don H. Carson keenly balanced his professional and family responsibilities. While he helped other kids with their educational activities, he never neglected his own children. I am privileged to know his daughter Maxie. She and her siblings are a living testament to their father , and a treasure for those of us who know them. The best part of Don is very much with us.

Don Carson keenly balanced his professional and family responsibilities. While caring for other people's children and their education, he never neglected his own children. I feel particularly blessed to know his daughter Maxie; together, Maxie and her siblings constitute a living gift from their father to us all.

Don was a wonderful man, very loving and caring and served his community well throughout the years. Family always came first with Don and he was so very proud of the love of his life, Louise, his amazing children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Don was a beautiful role model and mentor to so many children and families as he served tirelessly in the Arlington Independent school system.
