Don Gerard Durant
September 23, 1960 – January 28, 2026
Don Gerard Durant passed away on January 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and
unwavering support. A devoted husband, a proud father, and a best friend to many, Don was the kind of
person who showed up-fully and faithfully-for the people he cared about.
Don grew up in
Brooklyn, New York, and in September of 1990 he moved to
Medford, Oregon, where
he lived for the next 35 years. Medford became his home, the place where he built his life, his family, and
lasting friendships.
An exceptional carpenter, Don began working with his hands at the age of 15, developing a craft he took
great pride in throughout his life. His skill, dedication, and attention to detail were evident in everything
he built, and his work stands as a lasting reflection of who he was-strong, dependable, and made with
care.
Don had a rare gift for making others feel seen and supported. He was deeply caring, endlessly
encouraging, and always ready with a joke or perfectly timed bit of humor to lighten even the heaviest
moments. His laughter was contagious, and his warmth made people feel at home in his presence.
Above all, Don valued connection. He cherished his family and friendships, offering loyalty, kindness,
and a steady presence that others relied on. His impact will be felt in countless everyday
moments-shared stories, inside jokes, and the quiet comfort of knowing he was always there.
Don will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were lucky enough to know and love him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dana Durant; his daughters, Corrine Durant and Rene Tigert; his
son, Kendrick Miller; his son-in-laws, Steven Sunseri and Joshua Tigert; and his cherished
grandchildren, Juliet Sunseri, Dalton Sunseri, Solomon Tigert, Wilhelm Tigert, Jack Tigert, Hannah
Tigert, Kaiah Tigert.
A celebration of life service honoring Don's life will be held on February 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at
MTN Church, located at 1 East Main Street,
Medford, Oregon 97501. Family and friends are welcome
